Meet Rocky - An Akita with a Full Coat
My
dog, Rocky, is part Akita, part Shepherd, and part something else. He
was on Science Diet and Iams plus 3V Gel caps for his coat. He had been
trimmed the summer of 2001 and had never grown his coat back
completely.
In 2002, our vet took a biopsy and the test results
said he had follicular atrophy, a rare condition only found in sled
dogs. He had no suggestion about how to get his coat to grow back.
Gradually over the next 2 years, Rocky's coat grew back in spots. Other
spots were bare and raw, as he would scratch at them. He wasn't the
beautiful dog he had been.
Then, after a Furminator treatment in 2004 (I think)
the staff of Brookside Barkery and
Bath suggested that I switch him to more natural products. I was
skeptical but thought it was worth a try. Within days of the switch,
Rocky's appetite was better and he had more energy.
Within a couple of weeks
his coat had completely grown in and was beautiful. It was miraculous
and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I told my vet what
the source was of Rocky's beautiful coat and he said that he'd been
hearing more and more reports from dog owners about similar results.
Thank you to the staff of Brookside Barkery & Bath!
