Meet Athena - a Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Athena is a 19 month-old Chesapeake Bay retriever who is positively full of energy (whether she's being good or bad), and is absolutely the light of our life. She has been on Urban Wolf since she was 9 weeks old – we swear by it thanks to Dr. Linda Faris.

Recently was the opening of pheasant/quail season in KS. Athena nabbed her first bird and was quite proud of herself.

I read that retrievers do not have the stamina to keep up with the pointers for upland game hunting. "Experts" say they are designed to go get the bird and bring it back – not cover the field to sniff them out. Perhaps it is the Urban Wolf that allowed Athena to hold her own this weekend. She was the only retriever with four German Shorthairs. I'd love to send a picture of her smile with her first bird.

We believe the Urban Wolf has given her a beautiful coat, shiny eyes and muscle tone that complete strangers comment on when they see her.
