Brookside Barkery & Bath offers the best Self-Serve Pet Wash and Drying Stations – the only ones like it in Kansas City!
No more kneeling by the tub or getting wet. Bond with your pet while you bath them in our stainless steel tubs. Your pet simply walks up the ramp, and you select the shampoo and conditioner.
The concentrates are mixed with water and dispensed through the system for a deep down clean. We offer a variety of silicon-free shampoos tailored to meet your pet’s specific needs.
Once washed, select a drying station – equipped with everything a professional pet groomer would have. Our industrial dryers are efficient and leave your pets’ coat fluffy and shiny. The final treatment - spritz your pet with our natural pet cologne.
Did you pet have a run in with a skunk? If so, the first thing to remember is do not get them wet. Bring them in and use our specially formulated “deskunking” solution.
Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health problems. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin causing hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks, maggots and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin issues. Matted fur also pulls and binds to the dogs’ skin possibly making it raw and irritated causing pain to your pet. In lieu of the risks of bathing a matted pet, Brookside Barkery and Bath has adopted a humane way to handle this problem. If your pet has matted hair we will not be able to schedule a full-serve bath or Furminator appointment. Instead, we recommend an appointment with our groomer to either shave down your pet or cut out the matts.
There is a strong chance that your pet’s skin will become irritated during the clipping process. We will use a medicated shampoo to help soothe any irritation that may occur. Matted hair becomes tight against the skin, a short blade will be used to clip between the skin and the matt. Our groomers are very careful to prevent nicks and cuts but the risk is there since our groomers have to work very close to the skin.

All full service prices based on a standard 1 hour appointment. If it takes us longer than 1 hour, it’s an additional $30/hour.
Please note, the bathing area closes 1/2 hour prior to store closing.
Full-Service Grooming
Each pet is unique and we treat them that way. We welcome the oppurtunity to continue serving you and your pet. Please call your nearest location for pricing and to book your appointment.
We offer teeth brushing.
You pet’s initial visit is $10 and includes a toothbrush for you to keep. Bring the toothbrush back each subsequent visit and it’s only $8 per dog.
We do Nails!
Nail trimming is available for $12, for $20 we’ll use our Dremmel to smooth the rough edges. We have a variety of paw balms to heal and protect you dog’s cracked pads.
FURmination
FURmination is multi-step process to reduce your pet’s shedding. Let our trained staff FURminate your dog and you’ll be amazed at how much less they shed. Please call your nearest location to book your appointment.
